Notes

'Penelope' rose (Rosa 'Penelope') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The light pink blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Orange hips follow the flowers. Pemberton bred it in 1925.

Pairs well with Foxglove, Smoketree, Ornamental onion, and The President clematis.
