Notes

'Pensacola' tulip (Tulipa 'Pensacola') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The dark purple-red blooms open from early to late spring on stems about 12 inches tall. Cut a few stems to bring the deep color indoors. K. Lefeber bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Honey Gold peony, and Culver’s root.
