Notes

'Honey Gold' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Honey Gold') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant white flowers have a yellow center that grows into a bomb shape, and butterflies visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Carl G. Klehm bred it in 1970.

Pairs well with Orange daylily, Japanese spirea, and Dalmatian bellflower.
