Notes

'Peter' spotted beebalm (Monarda 'Peter') is a perennial for rain gardens and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. Lavender purple flowers open from early to late summer. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows 36 to 60 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide, so give it room.

Pairs well with Meadowsweet, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Black chokeberry, and Ostrich fern.
