Notes
'Petiolaris' silver linden (Tilia tomentosa 'Petiolaris') is a tree for pollinator gardens, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows at a rapid rate and forms a dense shape. Fragrant summer flowers draw bees and butterflies, and the tree tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Paperbark maple, Big bluestem, Spicebush, and Winter aconite.
