Notes

'Petite Red Supreme' spotted beebalm (Monarda 'Petite Red Supreme') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its fragrant red flowers open in summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It stays compact at 9 to 18 inches tall.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Big bluestem, and Culver’s root.
