Notes

'Philip the Arab' peony (Paeonia 'Philip the Arab') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early yellow double flowers face upward and have a slight citrus scent. Stems reach about 30 inches, so add support when the blooms open. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Switchgrass, and Little Beauty tulip.
