Notes

'Pica Bella' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Pica Bella') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deep pink petals surround an orange-brown center from early to late summer, with more blooms in early autumn. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Prairie dropseed, Moonshine yarrow, and Nodding onion.
