Notes

'Pink Monarch' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pink Monarch') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The tall plants bear deep pink, full double flowers in early summer. A collar of yellow petaloids sits mostly hidden inside each bloom. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Columbine, Virginia spiderwort, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
