Notes
'Pink Spire' sweet pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia 'Pink Spire') is a shrub for borders, hedges, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Fragrant shell pink flowers open from early to late summer. They draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds.
Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Red twig dogwood.
