Notes
'Placid Charm' peony (Paeonia 'Placid Charm') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Rose pink to red blooms with a dark center open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.
Pairs well with Spiderwort, Big bluestem, and Nelly Moser clematis.
