Notes

'Pomegranate' yarrow (Achillea millefolium 'Pomegranate') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees. The flowers are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought and salt. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Blue grama, Hummelo betony, and Big bluestem.
