Notes

Portuguese laurel (Prunus lusitanica) is an evergreen shrub for hedges, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. White flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. Birds visit the shrub too. It is drought tolerant and needs little care once settled.

Pairs well with Rose of sharon, Amur maple, and Bluebell.
