Notes
'Prairie Fire' crabapple (Malus 'Prairie Fire') is a tree for specimen planting, spring color, and fall interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). Its dark pink blooms open in spring above green leaves. The upright-spreading, vase-shaped crown gives it a graceful outline. Fall brings orange and gold leaves. Fruit ripens late in the season.
Pairs well with Weigela, Ninebark, Creeping phlox, and Grape hyacinth.
