Notes
'President Kennedy' tulip (Tulipa 'President Kennedy') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open buttercup yellow and are spotted with stone red. Inside, the base is deep bronzy green with black anthers. P.J. de Groot bred it, and it blooms from early to late spring.
Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, Bridal Bouquet peony, and Little bluestem.
