Notes

'Pride of Somerset' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pride of Somerset') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears single, deep crimson flowers in early to mid spring. Kelway bred it as an improvement on Lord Kitchener, and it flowers freely.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
