Notes

'Prima Donna' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Prima Donna') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears enormous, light pink, full rose type double blooms in mid spring. The stems are better than those of Lillian Gumm, which the flowers resemble. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Royal fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
