Notes
'Prostratus' rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus 'Prostratus') is an herb for ground cover, rock gardens, containers, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The arching stems stay evergreen and fragrant, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Hidcote lavender, Purple-flowered rock rose, and Oregano.
