Notes

'Pumpkin Pie' coneflower (Echinacea 'Pumpkin Pie') is a perennial with semi-double, fragrant orange flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The blooms open from early to late summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Birds eat the seeds in winter, so leave the seed heads standing.

Pairs well with Gladiator ornamental onion, Buffalo grass, and Weigela.
