Notes

'Purly' garlic (Allium sativum 'Purly') is a vegetable for containers, food gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is typically grown as an annual. Few crops handle cold as well, and with a little winter protection it grows on through light freezes. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The upright plants are fragrant and grow at a moderate pace. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Celeriac, Honeoye strawberry, Oregano, and Cucumber.
