Notes

'Purple Flag' tulip (Tulipa 'Purple Flag') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The purple flowers open from early to late spring. Plants reach 12 to 24 inches tall, so they work well in cut bouquets. L.J.C. Schoorl bred it.

Pairs well with Jack Frost Siberian bugloss, Armenian grape hyacinth, Spring Green tulip, and Jan Reus tulip.
