Notes

'Purple Rain' rose (Rosa 'Purple Rain') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The mauve blooms are fragrant and attract bees. Tim-Hermann Kordes bred it in 2009. It grows like a shorter grandiflora.

Pairs well with Sweet William, Niobe clematis, and Inkberry.
