Notes
'Quartz Amethyst' beardtongue (Penstemon 'Quartz Amethyst') is a perennial for pollinator gardens and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Bees and birds visit the flowers, so it adds life to a sunny border.
Pairs well with Mexican hat, Feather reed grass, Big bluestem, and Blue mistflower.
