'Queen Lime Red' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Queen Lime Red') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, loamy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows fast and stands erect, and it tolerates drought. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Mexican sunflower, and Moonbeam coreopsis.
