Notes

'Quintessential' rose (Rosa 'Quintessential') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its compact habit and dark green leaves suit small spaces. Fragrant medium pink flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees. Rob Somerfield bred it in 2018.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Coral Sunset peony, and Japanese forest grass.
