Notes

'Ranger' rose (Rosa 'Ranger') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows upright to about 4 or 5 feet tall with dark green leaves. Fragrant medium red blooms open from early to late summer and attract bees. Anna Medici Barni bred it, and it won a Gold Medal.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Japanese forest grass, and The President clematis.
