Notes

'Raspberry Tart' peony (Paeonia 'Raspberry Tart') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The raspberry red single blooms have bright golden stamens, a moderately musty fragrance, and visits from bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. William Henry Krekler bred it in 1985.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Prairie dropseed, and Pink Impression tulip.
