Notes

'Red Dandy' peony (Paeonia 'Red Dandy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The compact plants reach about 35 inches tall and carry large red blooms that open at the start of peony season. The color is a striking red not usually seen in peonies.

Pairs well with June hosta, Bobo hydrangea, Blue grama, and Stargazer lily.
