Notes

'Red Ensign' rose (Rosa 'Red Ensign') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Medium red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Albert Norman bred it in 1947.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Pink Hawaiian Coral peony, and Lily.
