Notes

'Red Ruffles' rose (Rosa 'Red Ruffles') is a shrub for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and loamy or clay soil. It stays compact at 12 to 24 inches tall and wide, so it suits small spaces. The dark red, ruffled blooms are fragrant and attract bees. Von Abrams bred it, and Peterson & Dering introduced it in 1960.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Little bluestem, and Jackmanii clematis.
