Notes
'Regal Chub' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Regal Chub') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly into a columnar evergreen about 12 inches tall and wide. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Winterberry, and Sedge.
