Notes

'Reine de Mai' peony (Paeonia 'Reine de Mai') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant single blooms open in white with light yellow and light pink shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. Georg Arends bred it.

Pairs well with PowWow White coneflower, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Charles Joly lilac.
