Notes

'Reine des Français' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Reine des Français') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are pink with lilac shading and a cream center. They are fragrant, so they make a good cut flower for indoors. Modeste Guérin bred it.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Black chokeberry.
