Notes

'Reine Victoria' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Reine Victoria') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Globular blooms in light pink, lilac, and cream open in early summer with carmine flecks in the center. Guérin bred it in 1845, and the dark green foliage stays full all season.

Pairs well with Virginia spiderwort, Royal fern, and Blue sage.
