Notes

'Rocky Mountain Blue' Colorado blue columbine (Aquilegia coerulea 'Rocky Mountain Blue') is a perennial for containers, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Large blue and white flowers rise on stems up to two feet tall, and hawkmoths and native bees visit them. Rabbits tend to pass it by. The plant is short-lived but self-seeds, so new seedlings can fill in.

Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Little Beauty tulip, and Ageratum.
