Notes

'Roger’s Red' peony (Paeonia 'Roger’s Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The dark red, semi-double flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. New leaves emerge burgundy, and the upright stems need no support.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Switchgrass, and Love-in-a-mist.
