Notes
'Roma' peony (Paeonia 'Roma') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early semi-double to double flowers open cream-white with frilled, salmon-pink guard petals. The upright stems stand without support. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Fragrant Bouquet hosta.
