Notes

'Rosalind Elsie Franklin' peony (Paeonia 'Rosalind Elsie Franklin') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The light pink, ruffled flowers have dark red flares and a pleasant fragrance in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William J. Seidl introduced it in 1996.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Jacob’s ladder, and Big bluestem.
