Notes

'Rose Impériale' rose (Rosa 'Rose Impériale') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its fragrant orange blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and the glossy, dark green leaves make a rich backdrop. Jean-Marie Gaujard bred it in 1942.

Pairs well with Peony, Smooth hydrangea, and Fountain grass.
