Notes

Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is an annual for borders, containers, food gardens, and as a specimen. This plant likes full sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and can reach 47 to 94 inches tall with an arching habit. Yellow or white flowers open in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the red and burgundy foliage adds color.

Pairs well with Lemon Grass lemongrass, Anise, Labyrinth dahlia, and Artichoke.

Native range

Central Africa, Congo, Ghana, and and Sudan.
