Rosy Dream ornamental onion

Notes

'Rosy Dream' ornamental onion (Allium carolinianum 'Rosy Dream') is a perennial for the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. It ranks among the more cold-hardy crops, and with some winter protection it keeps growing through light freezes. This plant likes full or part sun. It blooms in early to late spring. Fuzzy, lavender pink, round flower heads sit on stems about 12 to 18 inches high, and each head holds hundreds of tiny flowers.

Pairs well with Common mallow, Lemon balm, and Bladder campion.
