Notes

'Rosy Rim' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rosy Rim') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it. It bears large, double white blooms in late spring on tall, strong stems. The flowers stay cup shaped for some time, which shows the rosy guard petals around the edge.

Pairs well with New England aster, Switchgrass, and Mexican hat.
