Notes

'Rouge D' artichoke (Cynara cardunculus 'Rouge D') is an annual for food gardens, borders, and containers. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. It grows fast in a clumping form that reaches 24 to 36 inches tall. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Blue flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the plant is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Snapdragon, Chia, Chocolate cosmos, and Tuberose.
