Round-headed Himalayan primrose (Primula capitata) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun and moist, loamy soil. Butterflies visit the round flower heads, which can appear in spring, summer, and autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Plants grow about 12 inches tall and wide.
