Notes

Roundleaf dogwood (Cornus rugosa) is a tree for woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy soil. White flowers open from late spring into early to mid summer. Butterflies visit the blooms. It also tolerates drought once established, and it can reach about 15 feet tall.

Pairs well with Marginal wood fern, Rosebay rhododendron, and Pink turtlehead.
