Notes

Kousa dogwood (Cornus kousa) is a tree for borders, pollinator gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and the leaves turn color in fall. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows slowly and has an erect shape.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Foxglove, Ornamental onion, and Columbine.
