Notes

'Royal Acres' tulip (Tulipa 'Royal Acres') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The dark violet blooms are fragrant and open from early to late spring. Jan Ligthart bred it. It stays about 12 inches tall, so it fits well near the front of a bed.

Pairs well with Wood forget-me-not, Armenian grape hyacinth, and Angelique tulip.
