Notes

'Royal Amethyst' rose (Rosa 'Royal Amethyst') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant mauve blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Round orange hips follow the flowers. Paul Francis DeVor bred it in 1989.

Pairs well with False indigo, Snapdragon, and Society garlic.
