Notes

'Royal Blue' reticulated iris (Iris reticulata 'Royal Blue') is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The fragrant flowers are deep purple with a velvety gloss and a golden yellow blotch that looks tigered. They open from early to late spring.

Pairs well with Snowdrop, Prairie dropseed, and Wintergreen.
