Notes

'Royal Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Royal Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and it bears single magenta flowers with dark rose flares. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Indian grass, and Stargazer lily.
